The district of Rakovník is situated about 50 km to the west from Prague.

Rakovník is an area with the rich historical and with the beautiful nature.

There are two main centres of the county. They are Rakovník (17 000 citizens) and Nové Strašecí (5 000 citizens).

Kivoklátsko is the most visited area during the holidays. There is the unique nature in the surroundings of the river Berounka. You can see a lot of cultural sights there. They are for example the Kivoklát Castle, ruins of the Krakovec Castle and the Týov Castle and castles with spacious gardens in Slabce and Lány. Lány is the summer seat of the president of the Czech Republic.

Hotel "U Vrátných" is quite a new family hotel with up – to – date equipment in the centre of Rakovník.

The capacity of the hotel is 25 beds. There are 10 single or double rooms in the hotel. One apartment has 5 beds. Every room includes the bathroom with a shower and a toilet, satellite, minibar with refreshment, safe, hair dryer and Internet ON-LINE free of charge.

In the apartment you can use the whirling bath. There is the sauna in one of rooms.
